Unionbank relaunches Citi credit card business with new offerings

Union Bank of the Philippines (Unionbank), under the Aboitiz group, has relaunched the Citi credit card business in the Philippines.

The bank has introduced four new Unionbank-branded credit card products that cater to different customer needs and lifestyles, ranging from rewards for shoppers and travelers to cashback and premium offerings.

This follows Unionbank’s acquisition of Citi group’s retail banking operations in the country in August last year, a deal valued at P45.3 billion.

The acquisition aims to strengthen Unionbank’s position in consumer businesses, particularly credit cards, salary, personal loans, and mortgage loans.
