Landbank goes all-digital in April, pushing Filipinos to embrace online banking

Landbank of the Philippines (Landbank) is making a major digital leap!

Starting April 2024, Landbank will offer full digital banking services, aiming to streamline operations and encourage more Filipinos to bank online.

“We’re heavily investing in digital infrastructure for seamless service across all our channels,” said Landbank president and CEO Lynette Ortiz. This shift towards digital banking promises a smoother customer experience throughout the year.

Ortiz, formerly with Standard Chartered Bank, emphasized their commitment to accessibility and security. New technologies will make Landbank’s services more readily available, while robust cybersecurity measures ensure a safe and hassle-free online banking experience

“Ensuring data security and privacy is a top priority for us,” she said, noting that the bank is “implementing multi-layered security controls in our systems to provide safe and frictionless solutions for our customers.”

Landbank is actively onboarding new billers within its digital channels. This includes government agencies, local government units, private merchants, and other qualified institutions. The goal is to empower customers with more convenient bill payment options.

As a state-owned bank, Landbank is also committed to promoting digitalization among its institutional clients. We can expect intensified marketing efforts to encourage wider adoption of online banking solutions.
