Generali Life Assurance Philippines, Inc. (Generali Philippines) has named Dr. Hak Hong Soo as its new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Before assuming this role, Dr. Soo served as the Regional Head of Health and an Executive Member of the International – Asia Regional Office, leading efforts to enhance the regional health business and advance the company’s transformation initiatives.
He holds a Ph.D. in Insurance, Economics, and Econometrics, and is an Associate Member of the Society of Actuaries.
Dr. Soo’s extensive experience spans various aspects of insurance, including product proposition, pricing, actuarial health portfolio management, financial management, and partnerships across the Asia region.
He takes over from Reynaldo Centeno, who retired on December 31, 2022.
Jaime Anchustegui Melgarejo, CEO of Generali International, expressed confidence in Dr. Soo’s ability to lead growth in the Philippines, a crucial region for the company’s profitable expansion, and Rob Leonardi, International Asia Regional Officer, also praised Dr. Soo’s leadership potential.
Meanwhile, Dr. Soo stated his excitement for the role and expressed Generali’s commitment to providing sustainable propositions, value-added services, and a caring experience to its customers.
