‘Your trust remains our greatest privilege: Lucio Tan thanks Filipinos as PNB marks 110th anniversary

Philippine National Bank (PNB) marked its 110th anniversary, with chairman Emeritus Lucio Tan reaffirming the lender’s commitment to serving Filipinos and supporting the country’s economic growth.

“Throughout changing times, PNB has remained guided by a simple yet enduring purpose: to serve the Filipino people and contribute to the country’s growth and progress. This commitment has carried us through challenges, enabled us to seize opportunities, and strengthened the foundations upon which we continue to build,” Tan said.

“On behalf of the Lucio Tan Group and the entire PNB family, thank you for being part of our history. Your trust remains our greatest privilege and responsibility,” he added.

PNB president and CEO Edwin Bautista opened the bank’s weeklong anniversary celebration at its head office in Pasay City, saying the lender was focused on building on its recent performance.

“What we can do is to make a real contribution, not just to hold the fort but to build something great. And I can tell you based on the results last year and this year, and soon to be announced. I think we are heading our way toward building a bank of enduring greatness,” Bautista said.

PNB, part of the Lucio Tan Group, was established in 1916.
