Security Bank Corp. is revamping its senior leadership team, naming 14 executives to new roles and reshaping key business functions as the lender prepares for the departure of two executives.
Retail banking head Rahul Rasal will resign effective Dec. 31 for personal reasons, Security Bank said, with president and CEO Victor Lee taking temporary oversight of the division from Oct. 1.
Jonathan Diokno, head of the bank’s deposits business group, will also leave effective Nov. 1, citing personal reasons.
The departures come as Security Bank implements a board-approved reorganization aimed at sharpening accountability across its customer, product and distribution businesses. The first phase takes effect on Oct. 1, with additional changes scheduled for Jan. 1, 2027.
Among the October appointments, Vivek Yadav will become products and payments technology chief technology officer, while Amaneci Grace De Silva will assume the newly created role of customer journey experience business technology officer.
Prakash Mahajan will head customer journey experience digital experience for corporate clients, and Maris Lou Velicaria will become credit operations head.
The January changes will reorganize responsibilities around customer coverage and products.
Hirofumi Umeno will become chief customer officer for wholesale and Ma. Patricia Tan chief customer officer for retail. Yvonne Joanna Marcelo will move from corporate banking head to wholesale coverage head, while Leslie Cham will become branch coverage head.
In financial markets, Price Edward Yap will be appointed financial markets product head, Rene Alan Aguirre investment products head, and Orencio Andre Ibarra III trading head and treasurer.
“The strategy has been set. Our priority now is execution,” Lee said in a statement. “These leadership alignments strengthen accountability across the bank and ensure we’re positioned to deliver on the commitments we’ve made to our stakeholders.”
Security Bank said the restructuring is designed to clarify ownership and accountability across its businesses as it executes its growth strategy.
