UNObank becomes UNO Digital Bank ahead of Q2 launch

Ahead of its intended launch in the second quarter this year, UNObank Inc. has rebranded UNObank to UNO Digital Bank.

The new name reiterates the digital nature of the bank’s business. Together with the name change comes a new visual identity for the brand, inclusive of logo, refreshed color palette, as well as icons.

UNOAsia Pte. Ltd CEO and co-founder Manish Bhai said the credit-led digital bank is pioneering an elevated approach to banking: one that makes meeting life’s financial needs simple and accessible for the customer, while also fueling growth and innovation in the industry.

“We are not content with functioning on the status quo. Instead, our work is innovation-led and growth-focused, committed to always being numero uno when it comes to meeting needs and adding value to our stakeholders,” he added.

UNO Digital Bank is a full-spectrum credit-led digital bank that elevates our customers by making banking simple, better, and accessible.

UNO Digital Bank is one of the six entities granted digital banking licenses by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Other granted include Overseas Filipino (OF) Bank of state-run Land Bank of the Philippines, Tonik Digital Bank, Union Digital Bank of the Aboitiz-led Union Bank of the Philippines, GOtyme – a joint venture between the Gokongwei Group and Singapore-based digital bank Tyme, and Maya Bank of PLDT’s Voyager Innovations and PayMaya Philippines.



Visa expects confidence in online payments to grow in the Philippines

Visa predicts that confidence in digital payments will continue to rise in the Philippines, citing convenience and benefits as key drivers, with 62% of respondents carrying less cash due to the availability of digital options and 30% believing the country will become cashless by 2025, according to the Visa Consumer Payments Attitude Study 2023.
