UNO Digital Bank is seeking to redefine the Filipino banking experience by offering a single, trusted interface for managing savings, loans and financial education at a time when online banking options are expanding rapidly.
“We don’t want to compete on flash,” said UNO Digital Bank co-founder and CEO Manish Bhai. “We want to compete on trust.”
UNO leverages intelligent credit assessment protocols to guide first-time borrowers, particularly those with limited formal credit history, and integrates financial literacy tools and AI-driven insights into its platform.
The approach emphasizes empowerment over access, providing clarity amid an increasingly crowded digital landscape.
The bank now serves over four million customers nationwide, with nearly 15% opening their first-ever bank account through UNO. About 15% of its borrowers are taking out their first formal loan, totaling over ₱5 billion in credited loans.
UNO has also provided free insurance coverage to more than 50,000 depositors.
The bank has developed tailored products for consumers and businesses: UNOeasy offers accessible sales financing, UNO@Work provides enhanced employee benefits, while UNObiz and UNO Enterprise support small and medium enterprises in managing operations and growth.
The upcoming UNO 2.0 platform will feature AI-assisted savings goals, personalized credit offers, and an intuitive banking interface designed to simplify financial decisions.
