Union Bank of the Philippines has appointed four senior officers across risk management, auto lending, corporate credit and financial planning, as the Aboitiz-led lender continues to adjust its management ranks.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, UnionBank said its board of directors approved the appointment of Phillip Igmedio S. Cruz as operational resilience risk lead and assistant vice president under the Operational and Resilience Risk Management unit.
The bank also named Joven A. Francisco as senior account officer for auto fleet and assistant vice president under its Secured Assets Network-Auto Loans business.
Meanwhile, Juan Paulo S. Molina was appointed credit review team lead and assistant vice president under the Corporate Credit unit, while Jerson A. Roque was named financial planning and analytics officer and assistant vice president under Financial Planning and Analytics.
UnionBank said the appointments took effect on June 1.
The appointments come as banks strengthen risk management, consumer lending and financial planning capabilities amid intensifying competition and evolving operating conditions in the financial sector.
Operational resilience has become a growing focus for lenders as transactions increasingly shift to digital channels, requiring banks to manage risks related to cybersecurity, systems stability, business continuity and service reliability.
UnionBank has been expanding its consumer and corporate banking operations while continuing to invest in technology-driven financial services.
