Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) organized the fifth installment of its annual “Selyado” series, focusing on data privacy and security.
Led by experts from both public and private sectors, the event titled “Selyado 5.0: Fostering A Privacy-Enabled Secure System” aimed to enhance awareness and advocate for privacy-enabled secure ecosystems through a series of activities held from May 17 to June 7, 2023.
The event included a symposium for students of Banilad Center for Professional Development in Cebu City, discussions led by National Privacy Commission Deputy Commissioner Leandro Angelo Aguirre, and insights from industry professionals like Lawyer John Fajardo and Microsoft Senior Security Specialist Abigail Roces.
The event aligns with UnionBank’s “Tech-Up Pilipinas” advocacy to promote digital literacy.
