Union Bank of the Philippines said assistant vice president and financial crime risk officer Nino Paolo Peralta is leaving the Aboitiz-led lender after more than 10 years.
Peralta resigned for personal reasons and will leave the bank effective Aug. 22, 2026, UnionBank said in a disclosure.
He joined UnionBank in June 2016 as a remittance business officer, handling its tie-up with Western Union and other strategic remittance partners, as well as the onboarding and training of sub-agents.
Peralta was promoted to assistant vice president and anti-money laundering compliance officer in October 2022. He also serves as chief compliance officer of UnionBank Financial Services and Insurance Brokerage Inc.
Before moving to UnionBank, Peralta spent nearly a decade at Bank of the Philippine Islands. He joined BPI as a cash center operations officer in October 2006 and left in July 2016 as a compliance officer for remittance.
Peralta holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Economics from Ateneo de Manila University, where he graduated in 2005.
