State-run Land Bank of the Philippines has partnered with the Office of the President to roll out a government purchase card aimed at reducing cash transactions and streamlining payments for official expenses.
Landbank and the Office of the President, through the Office of the Deputy Executive Secretary for Support Services and Auxiliaries, signed an agreement on September 29 to implement the Government Purchase Card Program.
Under the program, authorized government personnel will be able to use a digital payment facility for eligible official expenditures, reducing cash handling while improving transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
