Strong investor appetite nets government P15 billion in Treasury bills sale

The government has successfully raised P15 billion as planned from its latest Treasury bills sale.

The Bureau of the Treasury’s offer today saw strong interest from investors as the tenders reached P47.2 billion, more than three times oversubscribed.

This demand, coupled with rates being within secondary market levels, prompted the government to fully award the short-term securities.

The 91-, 182-, and 364-day treasury bills fetched average rates of 5.744 percent, 5.916 percent, and 6.033 percent, respectively.
