The Social Security System is exploring a partnership with Sy-led BDO Unibank Inc. to make financial and social security services more accessible to Filipinos overseas.
SSS president and CEO Robert Joseph de Claro met BDO president and CEO Nestor Tan in London to discuss how the two institutions could complement their digital initiatives.
The meeting was part of SSS’ European outreach, which also included talks with Philippine National Bank’s Europe office, Metro Remittance (UK) Ltd. and BC Remit on improving service delivery to members abroad.
De Claro and other SSS officials separately met Filipino organizations in the UK to provide updates on the pension fund’s programs and reforms and address members’ concerns.
The delegation also participated in the Annual General Assembly of the e-Learning Group UK as part of its outreach activities.
“From engaging our Filipino communities to strengthening relationships with financial and digital service partners, the London leg was a fruitful and productive start to SSS’ European engagements,” SSS said.
