Security Bank Corp., the Philippines’ eighth-largest lender by assets, announced on Friday the resignation of SVP and Retail Transformation Head Jiri Matousek, citing personal reasons.
In a regulatory filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange, the bank said Matousek’s departure is effective Feb. 21.
Matousek, who joined Security Bank in 2021, was a key architect of the bank’s pivot toward digital-first consumer finance, overseeing the modernization of its retail lending arm and integrating sales, risk, and technology functions to compete with a growing wave of digital challengers and mobile-led banking services.
Security Bank has not yet named a successor, leaving a temporary leadership gap in one of its most critical growth segments.
Before joining Security Bank, Matousek held consulting and transformation roles across Europe and Asia, including at Adastra Business Consulting, where he managed banking and consumer finance projects focused on digital and credit transformation.
The bank continues to invest in digital platforms and retail expansion to strengthen its consumer banking franchise.
