Security Bank Corp. led by bankero Sanjiv Vohra beefed up its management with the hiring of two experience foreign bankers.
The Board of Directors of the listed bank approved the hiring of Gunneet Bali as senior vice president and retail banking segment head as well as Malcolm Yow as senior vice president and retail information technology (IT) digital team head.
Bali has an extensive experience of 25 years and served has head of products, payments and customer engagement; head of cards business; and head of consumer lending at Vietnam Prosperity Commercial Joint Stock Bank between 2013 and 2022.
Bali was also head of direct sales and marketing at Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank from 2012 to 2013, business head of consumer cards of American Express Banking Corp. from 2009 to 2011, at Al Khalij Commercial Banking Corp. from 2007 to 2009, and Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank Ltd from 1997 to 2007.
On the other hand, Yow’s experience spans 20 years having recently served as center director and head of National Australia Bank in Melbourne and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam from 2019 to 2022.
Yow as also executive manager of Commonwealth Bank Group in Vietnam from 2015 to 2019, from web developer to executive manager at BankWest in Perth Australia from 2004 to 2015.
Yow founded After Twelve Digital Media from 2002 to 2004.
Both executives are targeted to report for work at Security Bank upon securing the proper work permit and visa.
