The Securities and Exchange Commission has permanently revoked the license of digital lender Digido Finance Corp. and fined its executives for operating a “shadow” credit business months after the company was ordered to shut down in May 2025.
In a Feb. 18 order, the SEC found Digido administratively liable for processing and approving loan applications, disbursing funds, and issuing promissory notes despite the shutdown order.
The regulator dismissed Digido’s claim that the revocation was not final due to a pending appeal, noting that such orders are “immediately executory” under commission rules.
The SEC also flagged a collection scheme involving Fingertip Finance Corp., a subsidiary of Singapore-based Robocash Pte. Ltd., which Digido allegedly used to bypass its lack of authority. According to the SEC, these activities were not “ministerial remnants” but part of an active, unauthorized operation.
The SEC imposed a total fine of P600,000, consisting of P100,000 against Digido and P100,000 each against five executives, including president Aleksei P. Kosenko, corporate secretary Juan B. Solomon Jr., independent director Leonardo G. Serrano Jr., treasurer Aries C. Felipe, and compliance officer Leo Cezar G. Caballes.
