Digital lender GoTyme Bank is planning to expand its loan portfolio by around 50 percent in 2026, as it aims to sustain its rapid growth trajectory.
President and CEO Nathaniel Clarke said the bank has already doubled its lending book from P3 billion to P6 billion and is optimistic about sustaining this momentum. “We’re forecasting more than 50 percent growth on the financial metrics and expect to continue growing by three to four million customers a year,” he said.
As of November, GoTyme has attracted eight million customers, with monthly signups ranging from 250,000 to 300,000.
The bank is expected to close the year with about 8.3 million users, slightly below the initial nine-million target due to typhoon-related disruptions that temporarily halted kiosk enrollment activities.
Looking to the future, GoTyme aims to reach between 11 and 12 million users by 2026, surpassing its original timetable.
Clarke highlighted rapid uptake of tap-to-pay transactions following the launch of Google Pay in the Philippines on Nov. 18. “We were informed by Visa that we’re actually the number one in terms of newly registered (users), as well as payment value since launch two weeks ago today,” he said. “So it’s been explosive in terms of uptake, which means we’re very excited for the other, Apple Pay, next year.”
In addition to expanding its payment offerings, GoTyme is preparing to introduce local stock trading through a partnership with brokerage firm DragonFi Securities, with plans to roll out this feature in the first quarter of 2026.
