South Asialink Finance Corp. (SAFC) has tapped Gotianun-led East West Banking Corp. to widen payment options for borrowers as the financing company expands its branch network.
Customers can now settle payments through EastWest Online or over the counter at 392 branches nationwide.
“Our customers require payment options that fit how they operate,” SAFC president and CEO Maricel Dejongoy said. “Whether that means walking into a nearby bank branch or settling payment online after business hours, EastWest Bank’s facility gives them that reach.”
EastWest’s Bills Collect facility will accept cash and check payments from SAFC customers and credit the funds directly to the company’s designated account.
The arrangement also gives SAFC access to an online portal to track collections and view consolidated reports.
“As we grow our branch network, our payment infrastructure has to keep pace,” Dejongoy said.
SAFC has separately adopted EastWest’s BIZENTERPRISE, a web-based platform for processing checks and managing payments.
EastWest Corporate Banking Group Sector 1 head Ruth Co said the bank’s facilities would help SAFC collect payments from borrowers across the country more efficiently.
