MariBank Philippines Inc., formerly SeaBank Philippines, topped the country’s rural banking industry in assets, deposits and loans as of end-June 2026, according to data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
MariBank reported ₱83.37 billion in assets, ₱70.48 billion in deposits and ₱41.13 billion in loans, putting it ahead of other rural lenders across all three categories.
East West Rural Bank, a subsidiary of Gotianun-led East West Banking Corp., ranked second in assets with ₱63.4 billion and deposits with ₱48.22 billion. It placed third in loans with ₱9.12 billion.
CARD Bank Inc. was the third-largest rural bank by assets at ₱40.72 billion, followed by Cebuana Lhuillier Rural Bank Inc. with ₱11.63 billion and Agribusiness Banking Corp. with ₱10.46 billion.
Guagua Rural Bank ranked sixth with ₱9.69 billion in assets, followed by Top Bank Philippines with ₱9.57 billion and CARD MRI Rizal Bank with ₱9.18 billion.
Rounding out the top 10 were Rural Bank of Angeles with ₱8.27 billion and Salmon Bank with ₱8.21 billion.
The rankings reflect the industry’s position at the end of June, before the BSP approved MariBank’s conversion into a digital bank in July.
The approval made MariBank the country’s seventh digital bank, joining GoTyme Bank, Maya Bank, Overseas Filipino Bank, Tonik Digital Bank, UnionDigital Bank and UnoBank Inc.
