The bank officially pioneered the idea of a phygital banking service.
Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) officially unveiled its physical-digital banking service, the Moneybela Barangayan Banking at the RCBC Plaza in Makati City. It is the pioneering idea of a human-assisted remote banking service, which intends to create an inclusive financial ecosystem, tapping unbanked Filipinos in far-flung areas. The project is seen to benefit 42,000 barangays in the country with the opportunity to access financial services bundled with agent-assisted financial education. The said project was successfully soft-launched in Davao City in early September this year.
