Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) has something new to flex and it didn’t come from the balance sheet.
The Yuchengco-led lender emerged champion in the Bankers’ Athletics Association (BAA) pickleball tournament.
RCBC Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer Lito Villanueva proudly celebrated the squad’s victory.
“Well-deserved recognition for the team’s hard work and camaraderie,” Villanueva said.
JPMorgan finished as first runner-up, while Sy-led BDO Unibank took second runner-up honors. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas placed third runner-up.
Villanueva, who also chairs Fintech Alliance.ph, gave props to everyone who joined the competition.
“Kudos to everyone involved,” he said.
For a change, these financial heavyweights weren’t competing over assets, loans or market share. They were chasing pickleballs and a little bit of glory.
This time, RCBC came out on top.
