RCBC doubles BillEase credit line to P1B as fintech ramps up growth

Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) has doubled its credit facility for consumer lender BillEase to P1 billion and expanded their partnership to include cash management, deposit and foreign exchange services.

The increase from the initial P500 million facility gives BillEase additional local currency funding as the financial technology firm seeks to reduce its reliance on offshore debt and lower financing costs.

“This expanded partnership reflects RCBC’s confidence in BillEase’s performance and in the quality of its underwriting,” Elizabeth Coronel, head of RCBC’s institutional banking group, said in a statement.

The financing is secured by BillEase’s consumer loan receivables through a collateral structure registered with the Personal Property Security Registry, giving RCBC a first-ranking claim over the pledged assets.

The additional funding comes as BillEase scales up its business. The company posted an audited consolidated net profit of P750 million in 2025, its third consecutive profitable year, as revenue jumped more than 80% to P8.7 billion.

Its loan portfolio grew more than 75% to about P11.3 billion, while total assets reached P13.3 billion. BillEase said it is adding more than 150,000 new customers a month.

“The strongest funding relationships are built on transparency and performance, not promises,” BillEase Chief Financial Officer Garret Go said.

BillEase is also moving into regulated banking following its recent acquisition of a local rural bank, which is expected to broaden its deposit-taking capabilities and loan offerings.
