Rizal Banking Corporation’s (RCBC) innovative project, RCBC ATM Go, earned the “Best ATM Project” during The Asset Triple A Digital Awards 2024.
RCBC ATM Go is the country’s pioneering effort in establishing a grassroots-oriented, bank-agnostic, and last-mile automated teller machine (ATM) system. It employs mobile point-of-sale devices to provide financial services in communities lacking access to traditional banking facilities.
RCBC stands out as the sole Philippine bank with an extensive network covering the entire country, spanning all 82 provinces. This network represents the largest deployment of mobile-point-of-service ATM services in the Philippines.
RCBC Executive vice president and chief innovations and inclusion officer Lito Villanueva said over 65 percent of RCBC ATM Go’s transactions consist of social grants and cash withdrawals by beneficiaries of the national government’s Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT/4Ps) program.
These services primarily cater to residents of geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
