Cebuana Lhuillier led by bankero Jean Henri Lhuillier is one in protecting one’s furry friends and has started offering insurance coverage for pet dogs.
The Cebuana Lhuillier Pet Care Insurance is specifically designed for dogs and covers their medical reimbursement, owner’s liability, burial assistance (euthanasia), and personal accident for the pet owner.
The product for dogs aged six months to eight years old is underwritten by Malayan Insurance.
“Dogs have always been loyal life companions, so it’s only right that we take care of them, especially during their health emergencies,” Lhuillier said in a statement.
For as low as P1,100 that can be purchased at Cebuana Lhuillier’s Shopee and Lazada’s pages, pet owners can reimburse medical expenses of up to P25,000 per occurrence including laboratory tests, X-rays, ultrasound, MRI and CAT scan, surgery, hospitalization, among others.
It also includes personal accident insurance for the pet owner of between P10,000 to P50,000 including accidental food poisoning, accidental gas poisoning, acts of nature, animal bites, drowning, motorcycling, among others.
Cebuana Lhuillier said the pet insurance aims to cover the risks involved in owning dogs, not just to protect them but to protect pet owners as well.
