The Social Security System (SSS) has bestowed two prestigious awards upon Philippine National Bank (PNB), designating them as the “Best Collection Partner” for the Overseas Bank category and the “Best Disbursement Partner” for the Universal Bank category during the “Balikat ng Bayan” Awards (BBA) 2023 ceremony held at the SSS Main Office in Quezon City on September 8.
These awards recognize PNB’s outstanding adherence to the Social Security Law’s requirements for benefit coverage and distribution, accuracy in reporting to SSS, and active participation in SSS programs, marking a significant partnership milestone between the two institutions.
Bankero, PNB Executive Vice-President and Head of Global Banking and Markets Sector, Roberto D. Baltazar, expressed PNB’s commitment to enhancing the experience and efficiency for Filipino workers, both domestically and internationally, through this 66-year partnership with SSS.
The “Best Disbursement Partner” distinction acknowledges PNB’s leadership among PESONET-member financial institutions in terms of transaction volume and disbursements, while the “Best Collection Partner” award recognizes PNB’s consistent excellence in collections, transaction volume, and extensive coverage.
The “Balikat ng Bayan” Awards, established in 1995, serve as a testament to the valuable contributions of individuals and organizations in supporting SSS’s mission of delivering quality services and programs to its members.
