Philippine National Bank (PNB) will expand its footprint in the southern Luzon industrial corridor with the opening of a new “branch-lite” unit in Calaca City, Batangas, on March 30.
The facility, located along the National Highway in Barangay Puting Bato West, marks a strategic move by the Tan-led lender into one of the province’s key economic hubs.
Calaca, which achieved cityhood in 2022, serves as a critical center for power generation and manufacturing in the Philippines.
Under Bank Sentral ng Pilipinas regulations, “branch-lite” units allow lenders to provide a broad range of banking products and services excluding full-service auxiliary functions through a more cost-effective physical format.
