Philippine Business Bank (PBB) headed by bankero Rolando Avante has landed veteran auditor Marily Cabuco, former chief audit executive of Toyota Financial Services Philippines Corp. (TFSPH).
The appointment of Cabuco as senior vice president and chief internal auditor of PBB takes effect on September 1, 2022.
The 30-year veteran managed the internal audit activities of TFSPH and ensured execution of audit functions in accordance with the International Standards for Professional Practices of Internal Auditing.
Cabuco also served as department head of branch lending center and audit officer of head office and branch at Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) and Security Bank Corp. for 10 years.
Cabuco is a certified public accountant, certified internal auditor, certified financial services auditor. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Far Eastern University and has MBA units from De La Salle’s Graduate School of Business and Economics.
While waiting for the effectivity of Cabuco’s employment, PBB has transferred Laurence Rapanut as branch operations and control group head from his previous post as chief internal auditor.
PBB senior manager Bernardo Tabugader was appointed OIC of internal audit center pending the onboarding of the new chief internal auditor.
PBB is the country’s second largest thrift bank in terms of assets.
