The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas donated ₱40 million to three government hospitals and the Philippine Red Cross to support healthcare and humanitarian services.
BSP Governor Eli Remolona Jr. and Deputy Governor Elmore Capule led the turnover on Sept. 22, with each institution receiving ₱10 million.
The beneficiaries were the Lung Center of the Philippines, National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
Lung Center Executive Director Dr. Jubert Benedicto, NKTI Executive Director Dr. Jose Dante Dator, PGH Director Dr. Gerardo Legaspi received the donations on behalf of their respective institutions.

“For more than a decade, the BSP has supported institutions providing medical and humanitarian services to underserved Filipinos,” the central bank said.
“The initiative forms part of the BSP’s corporate social responsibility efforts to contribute to more resilient and inclusive Filipino communities.”
