Metrobank, Toyota, Mastercard roll out credit card for motorists

Metrobank, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation, and Mastercard have launched the Toyota Platinum Card, a credit card designed to help motorists manage the rising costs of car ownership while earning rewards on everyday expenses.

“This launch isn’t just about introducing a new card—it’s about keeping up with our customers’ evolving needs,” said Ramon del Rosario, Metrobank Consumer Business Sector Head. “Owning a car is a big milestone for many Filipinos, but it also comes with daily costs. The Toyota Platinum Card helps lighten that load with savings on fuel and toll fees, plus earning rewards points on everyday spending, so customers can make smarter financial choices.”

The card delivers 3% rebates on fuel and toll expenses, capped at P15,000 annually, along with reward points for every P20 spent.

Toyota-specific perks include 10% discounts on genuine parts, accessories, and labor, 0% installment for up to six months on dealer transactions, double reward points at preferred dealers, and 5% off Toyota Mobility rentals.

Mike Masamayor, Head for Customer First & Value Chain Operations at Toyota Philippines, noted that the card complements the company’s value proposition: “We believe that our responsibility goes beyond manufacturing vehicles. Toyota aims to continue to improve the overall ownership experience and create value that supports our customers in their everyday lives.”

According to Jason Crasto, Country Manager, Philippines, Mastercard, the card leverages global payments infrastructure to provide secure, seamless transactions for motorists.
