Metrobank phases out old mobile app

Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) switched to a new mobile application on February 13, 2024.

This marked the final deadline for users to make the transition. The old Metrobank app will no longer be available after this date, as the bank moves to a more seamless and secure platform.

To switch to the new app, users simply need to download it from the Google Play Store, Apple Store, or Huawei’s AppGallery. They can then log in using their existing username and password, and there is no need to sign up again.

For users who forget their password, Metrobank provided a simple process for recovery. They can tap ‘recover access’ on the login screen, select ‘forgot my password,’ and provide their preferred email address or mobile number. A verification code will be sent to the provided contact method. Users should enter both the passcode and verification code, and then create a new password.
