Former FWD Insurance Philippines chief strategy officer Mervin L. Pobre has assumed the role of CEO at Maxicare Life Insurance Corp.
This transition officially took effect on August 1, 2023, as he succeeded Jose Pastor Z. Puno, the founding CEO of Maxicare Life Insurance.
Pobre brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having served at FWD Life Insurance Philippines since May 2015. Prior to his tenure there, he held positions at the Philippine American Life & General Insurance Company and played significant roles at esteemed financial institutions in the US, including Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, and American Express, before relocating to the Philippines in 2010.
Maxicare Life Insurance Corp., a joint venture involving the Go family, the Gokongweis, and Maxicare Healthcare Corp., the largest health maintenance organization in the Philippines, began its commercial operations on January 10, 2023.
