Landbank warns clients on phishing scam using Google Ads

The state-owned bank urged its clients to be vigilant of scams.

State-owned Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) has advised its clients and the general public to be careful of an online scam using Google Ads associated to a fake Landbank website. The bank clarified that it has not placed any ads on Google and is currently working the search engine site to bring down these misleading ads the soonest time possible.

The bank said the fake Landbank website is an avenue for phishing activities to steal account holders’ personal and financial information.

The bank guided its clients to directly go to its official website at www.landbank.com and to use the available links within the website to access the bank’s digital banking channels.
