Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) has partnered up with the local government of Surallah, South Cotabato to provide its citizens with an online payment option for settling local government fees.
Bankero, LandBank President and Chief Executive Officer Cecilia Cayosa Borromeo, and Surallah Mayor Pedro Matinong Jr. formally inaugurated the Link.BizPortal at the Surallah Municipal Hall last January 20. The event was attended by other government officials and bank officers.
Under a memorandum of agreement, the LandBank Link.BizPortal will handle payments to the LGU, allowing residents to post payments online, eliminating the need to physically visit the municipal hall.
“We greatly appreciate the LGU for allowing us to be part of their digitalization journey to deliver convenient public services to its constituents,” said Borromeo.
To support Executive Order 170, also known as the Adoption of Digital Payments for Government Disbursement and Collections, Landbank is providing a range of digital products and services to all local governments around the country.
The LandBank Link.BizPortal also supports the eGov Pay solution provided by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. It is also in line with the national government’s call for a National Retail Payment System.
