LANDBANK, Israel tie up to “boost PH development”

The Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) announce that it is working with the government of Israel to share technology and best practices in agriculture and development financing.

In a statement on Jan.23, Bankero and Landbank President Cecilia C. Borromeo said, “LANDBANK continues to explore strategic partnerships to help advance national development. We look forward to collaborating …towards the adoption of innovative technology and approaches, especially in the agriculture sector.”

Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss paid a courtesy visit to Borromeo on Jan.17, and was joined by representatives from AgroStudies, an international training center based in Israel. The bank is looking into an exchange program for qualified Filipino students to “undergo advanced learning and skills development training in agriculture technology and innovation in Israel.”
