Landbank brings banking know-how to 416 Cebu farmers and fishers

State-owned Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) provided lending and digital banking orientations to 416 farmers and fishers across three Cebu localities as part of efforts to widen access to agricultural financing.

The bank’s Cebu South Lending Center held sessions under its AgriSenso Plus Lending Program in Toledo City, Tuburan and Dalaguete from October 12 to 14.

The sessions covered agricultural loan options, digital banking services and basic financial management to help farmers and fishers manage their finances and improve productivity.

The activities were conducted in partnership with local governments headed by Toledo City Mayor Marjorie Perales, Tuburan Mayor Christian Daniel Diamante and Dalaguete Mayor Nelin Tambis.

Landbank said the initiative was part of its efforts to bring financial services closer to underserved agricultural communities.
