Landbank, Airtel team up to bring banking services closer to Filipinos in India

State-run Land Bank of the Philippines is stepping up efforts to reach Filipinos in India, promoting digital savings, cybersecurity and investment options that can be accessed while abroad.

Landbank president and CEO Lynette Ortiz led a financial education forum in New Delhi on Sept. 12 as the lender seeks to expand access to its services among overseas Filipinos.

Senior vice president Grace Ofelia Lovely Dayo presented the bank’s products, including the GoBayani Digital Savings Account through the Landbank Mobile Banking App, and discussed cybersecurity and upcoming investment opportunities.

The forum was attended by members of the Filipinos in India Community and Kapisanan ng mga Pinay na may Asawang Indiano sa Hindustan, along with Philippine Embassy Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Maria Cynthia Pelayo and attachés Estrelita Cuevas and Shirley Sagpang.

The lender is also working with Indian telecommunications company Airtel to support access to its banking services in India, part of a broader push to give Filipinos overseas more ways to save, invest and manage their money remotely.
