The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) will enhance its GSIS Touch mobile application by introducing a facial authentication feature to improve security and ease of access for its members and pensioners.
GSIS president and general manager Arnulfo Veloso said the new feature will allow users to access their accounts by simply showing their face to the camera, eliminating the need for user IDs and passwords.
The facial authentication addition aims to provide seamless access to the app, allowing members and pensioners to complete transactions at any time and from anywhere, while enhancing protection against fraud and identity theft.
This upgrade is part of GSIS’s ongoing digital transformation efforts to make government services more accessible and secure for its members.
The GSIS Touch app has been a key element in these efforts, improving the efficiency of services offered by the agency.
