GSIS, JICA join forces for enhanced insurance operations

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has announced a new partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), facilitated by the Japanese government’s recently launched Technical Cooperation Project (TCP).

This collaboration aims to elevate GSIS’s insurance operations, ensuring the protection of civil servants and government assets.

Wick Veloso, president and general manager of GSIS, emphasized, “This joint effort extends beyond safeguarding government assets. Through a robust insurance framework, it underscores GSIS’s commitment to strengthening our nation and promoting sustainable infrastructure practices.”

The TCP will bolster GSIS’s underwriting capabilities, enhance the Insurance Group’s ability to assess replacement costs accurately, and establish precise insurance premium rates.
