UnionBank of the Philippines has set a six-month timeline for delivering the new credit cards of clients who used to be with Citibank Philippines.
In an advisory, the bank owned by the bilyonaryo Aboitiz clan notified Citi clients that new credit cards will be delivered in batches until December 2024.
The release of UnionBank credit cards for former Citi clients began in June.
Citi’s clients were absorbed by UnionBank following the global banking giant’s exit from the Philippine retail market.
Until new cards are given to customers, UnionBank said all existing Citi cards will remain active.
