From north to south, now fully insured: GSIS completes hub network with Quezon City rollout

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) launched its non-life insurance hub in Quezon City, completing the rollout of insurance service centers in all its branches nationwide under the unified brand “Ginhawa Insure, Para Sure.

The state-run pension fund said the new hub aims to make non-life insurance services more accessible to government agencies and local government units, with Quezon City chosen as a strategic location due to its concentration of public institutions.

“This insurance hub is intended to make our services more accessible and responsive to the agencies and local governments,” GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso said in a statement. “Quezon City is a strategic location that allows us to support more institutions and protect more public assets.”

The hub will serve individual members and qualified dependents seeking coverage for motor vehicles, residential properties, and personal accident protection.

It will also handle institutional insurance needs for public assets such as buildings, vehicles, and equipment, in compliance with Republic Act No. 656, which mandates GSIS as the official insurer of government properties.

GSIS recorded ₱7.59 billion in gross premiums written from January to May 2025, up 11.9% from a year earlier. In 2024, the agency collected ₱10.5 billion in premiums, surpassing its ₱8.9 billion target.

“As risks become more complex, government institutions need timely and reliable insurance solutions. This hub strengthens our commitment to provide efficient protection, right where it’s needed,” Veloso said.

GSIS said members may apply for motor, fire, or personal accident insurance at any branch or via email, with full details and downloadable forms available on its website.
