Friday night heads-up: Metrobank going offline for 6.5 hours

Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) will temporarily shut down its digital banking, ATM and card services for six-and-a-half hours overnight from Sept. 25 to 26 for scheduled system maintenance.

The Ty-led lender said services will be unavailable from 11:30 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Saturday.

The downtime will affect ATMs, cash accept machines and withdrawal and deposit machines, as well as Metrobank debit cards, prepaid cards and paycards.

The Metrobank app and website, Earnest app, Wealth Manager and remittance services will also be unavailable.

“Please plan your transactions ahead. We apologize for the inconvenience. Rest assured that your accounts remain safe and secure,” Metrobank said.

The bank said it would notify customers once services are restored.
