Fortune Life Insurance Co. Inc. has pledged its support to the 2023 Brigada Eskwela National Kick-off Ceremony, held on August 7, 2023, at Tarlac National High School in San Roque, Tarlac City. The company’s contribution included corporate giveaways, big books, and workbooks in collaboration with Marylindbert International.
The event, organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) External Partnerships Service (EPS), revolved around the theme “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan” (solidarity for sturdy schools). This theme aimed to promote the spirit of Bayanihan, urging communities to participate in preparing schools for the upcoming school year 2023-2024.
Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte emphasized the significance of the event during the kick-off ceremony, highlighting the importance of creating functional, clean, and orderly learning environments for students. DepEd issued a simplified Department Order on “Brigada Eskwela” to streamline the process.
Throughout the nation, regional offices and schools division offices held their respective kick-off ceremonies and advocacy activities. Fortune Life’s sales force actively participated in the annual implementation of the Brigada Eskwela program, also known as Schools Maintenance Week, which took place from August 14 to August 19.
