Former SBMA chief named DBP director

Malacañang has named former Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chair and administrator Wilma Eisma as member of the Board of Directors of state-run Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) led by bankero Emmanuel Herbosa.

Eisma took her Oath of Office last March 1 and assumed the office the following day.

Herbosa said Eisma is now an independent and non-executive director at DBP.

Eisma stepped down as head of SBMA last March 1 after leading the agency for five years.

She submitted her notice of resignation to President Duterte as early as October last year citing health reasons and to focus on her family.

Prior to her appointment in December 2016, Eisma was former manager of the regulatory affairs and community relations division of Philip Morris Philippines Manufacturing Inc.
