Rhoda “Chiqui” Huang, the president and CEO of Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC), has been appointed as director at East West Banking Corp. of the Gotianun family.
Jonathan Gotianun, chairman of East West Bank, expressed his enthusiasm about this addition, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Chiqui to our board. Her well-established track record in the industry is certain to enhance the bank’s continued success.”
Huang brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as president of BPI Capital Corp. before her tenure at FDC.
Her professional journey also includes holding the position of branch head of investment banking at Credit Suisse Philippines and dedicating 19 years to JP Morgan Chase.
Huang’s appointment coincides with the transition of Francis Gotianun, who is now focusing on leadership responsibilities within FDC’s hospitality division.
Francis continues to serve on the boards of Filinvest Land Inc. and Filinvest REIT Corp.
