Former Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat took her oath of office as the fifth Deputy Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
Outgoing BSP Governor and incoming Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno administered the oath taking in a ceremony held recently at the BSP head office in Manila.
Romulo-Puyat will oversee the Program Management Office for the new BSP complex in New Clark City, BSP regional operations, and advocacies on financial inclusion and economic and financial learning.
The central bank’s fifth deputy governor will also sit as vice chair of the Philippine International Convention Center Board of Directors and as alternate of the BSP Governor to select governing boards.
