Security Bank Corp. has appointed a veteran international banker and a former finance official to its board.
During the bank’s annual stockholders’ meeting on April 28, investors elected Michael S. Chua and Mark Dennis Y.C. Joven to the board of directors.
Chua, a former Chief Country Officer of Deutsche Bank Philippines, joins the board with over 30 years of experience in corporate banking and asset-liability management.
Joven, a former undersecretary at the Department of Finance, brings expertise from his previous roles representing the Philippines on the boards of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage.
The two new directors replace Jikyeong Kang, whose term has concluded, and Napoleon L. Nazareno, who passed away in March.
The bank also announced a transition in its senior management. Lucose T. Eralil, EVP and COO, is set to conclude his contract on June 30, 2026.
In a move to consolidate its technical leadership, Security Bank appointed Patrick Meneses as Chief Data and Technology Officer, effective May 1, 2026. The expanded role reflects a “continued focus on execution, transformation, and leadership continuity.”
