DBP opens branch-lite unit in Camarines Norte

State-run Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) led by bankero Emmanuel Herbosa recently inaugurated a branch-lite unit (BLU) located in the Municipality of Jose Panganiban in Camarines Norte.

This brings the number of the branch-lite units of DBP to 14 nationwide as part of efforts to support the national government’s efforts to promote greater financial inclusion.

The opening also increased the bank’s customer touch points in high-growth areas of the country.

Located at the northern portion of Camarines Norte, the coastal town of Jose Panganiban has a population of almost 60,000 with 531 registered commercial businesses in the mining, agriculture, and tourism industries.

Aside from Herbosa, other DBP officials who graced the opening of the new branch-lite unit were vice president Roderick Barbado, executive vice president George Inocencio, and assistant manager Salvador Altar.

Jose Panganiban Mayor Ariel Non was also present during the inauguration.
