CitySavings Bank (CitySavings) was recognized as the top tax contributor in Cebu for CY 2022 by the Bureau of Internal Revenue Large Taxpayers Division (BIR LTD).
The award highlights CitySavings’ invaluable contribution to the country’s economic development efforts, the bank said.
Bankero and CitySavings’ Vice President for Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Insurance, and Tax Head Solomon Tio received the award on behalf of the Bank on March 3, 2023.
In his message, the bankero shared that “with or without recognition, CitySavings will continue to be a good corporate citizen, adhere to good governance practices, and give back to the community we are serving, guided by our core values of integrity, magis, and ubuntu”.
Tio also believes that the taxes paid will lead to a faster and more inclusive economic growth and recovery, despite the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
