Malaysian lender CIMB is expanding its retail services in the Philippines.
Beyond being a savings account offered to GCash users, CIMB is now developing its retail base by adding QR code payment services to its own mobile app.
Called CIMB Pay, depositors can now use their phone and online account to settle their bills with no service charges, similar to those offered by other e-wallets. The bank is compatible with the unified QR PH codes on display for its competitors like GCash and Maya.
