Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Felipe Medalla recently led the groundbreaking ceremonies for the central bank’s new building at the Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Once completed, Medalla said the new building would further enhance the accessibility and efficiency of BSP services in Western Visayas.
The new building will provide the BSP with more space for currency operations, which is presently performed at its Iloilo branch office located at Solis St., Iloilo City.
The BSP’s new Iloilo hub will continue to serve the currency requirements of Iloilo, Antique, and Guimaras.
Megaworld President and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Tan, BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, BSP Regional Operations Managing Director Rosabel Guerrero, and BSP Iloilo Branch Deputy Director Joanne Marie Castelo also attended the ceremony.
